Tropical Modern Villa

This ECR villa embraces Chennai's coastal climate with a design that blurs the line between indoor and outdoor living. The clients, a family of four with a love for gardening, wanted a home that connected them to nature.

The ground floor features floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that open the living and dining areas to a landscaped courtyard, effectively doubling the entertainment space. A water feature runs from the entry through to the backyard, providing natural cooling and a soothing soundscape.

Sustainable features were integrated throughout—solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and locally sourced materials. The vertical garden on the stairwell brings greenery into the heart of the home, while automated irrigation keeps maintenance minimal.

The upper floor is designed as a private family zone, with bedrooms opening to individual balconies with garden views.
